Seismic Requirements

Memphis and Shelby County Tennessee are classified Seismic 3 and are governed by the 1994 Standard Building Code with local amendments. The Memphis and Shelby County Building Code requires permits for Shelving, Pallet Rack, Conveyor and Process Piping systems as noted in Section 104.

Section 104.1.1.1

  • Conveyor systems
  • Racking systems / Shelving
